Artifact Donations
Thank you for considering the Phelps County Historical Society for your prospective donation.
Unfortunately, the Phelps County Historical Society cannot take in all the items that are offered as donations.
It is important that the items we consider meet our mission statement:
The Phelps County Historical Society is a not-for-profit historical institution with a
mission to preserve and provide access to architecture, artifacts, and educational
materials that portray the history of Phelps County, Missouri; to increase public interest
and involvement in local history.
Please submit the following forms either online or through the mail to begin the process of artifact considered for donation. The more information you can provide about your item the better informed our Committee will be. Photographs of the prospective donation are encouraged and may be submitted through the website or sent to this email address PCHScurator.rolla@gmail.com. The Collections Committee meets quarterly and will decide collectively whether the proposed item fills a gap in our existing collections and meets our mission statement.
The collections curator will keep you informed about the process along the way and will reach out to you if additional information is needed. They will also inform you of the Committee’s decision and work with you on finalizing the documentation, acquiring your artifact or facilitating the return of your prospective donation if necessary.
Thank you again for considering the Phelps County Historical Society for your donation, we look forward to working together to preserve our local history.
